Volunteering

Volunteering with Beacon is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn about our work and gain new skills. By becoming a Beacon volunteer, you will also become part of the solution to youth unemployment in Australia.

Beacon volunteers generously donate their time in a number of ways.

  • You could become a mentor and engage in a rewarding experience with a small group of students anywhere in Australia – and all from your work or home desk;
  • You could take part in a High Impact work readiness Program as an Industry Mentor at a school in your local area;
  • Provide pro-bono expertise to Beacon Foundation or organise a fundraising event in your office or wider community so we can reach more young Australians and connect them to our work.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, we would love to hear from you.

I have just spent another day immersed in the High Impact Programs. The students’ level of engagement from the first moment they walked into the room for the meet and greet really set the standard for the day.

We had a lot of fun with the young people and the business mentors were amazing. Some great constructive discussion came out of the group work. The students were respectful of each other, communicative, engaging and inquisitive and had fun themselves.
