Beacon is fortunate to have many volunteers who engage in our programs, through their employers, to support young people in their transition from school, to further education, training or employment. Not only do the young people benefit – so too do the volunteers.
Can I just say thank you very much for the opportunity. I was nearly moved to tears seeing the potential impact a program like that could have on the lives of these children. The program is for some the first experience they’ve had in helping them head down the right path.
What we did was easily one of the most personally rewarding things I have done…it’s the sort of experience that makes me want to stay with the organisation.
Become a Beacon partner and engage and motivate staff through volunteering opportunities. Your employees might like to become mentors or provide Beacon with some pro-bono support.
