Beacon National Conference Award Winners 2015
Schools from across Australia were recognised for excellence in careers curriculum at the Beacon National Conference awards ceremony held on Thursday, April 29 in Sydney.
More than 50 schools were represented at the National Conference, proudly supported by Staples and Holcim Australia, was held in Sydney over two days , with the National Excellence Awards a highlight of the agenda.
A total of 11 awards were presented to schools, students and teaching staff who have displayed consistently high levels of excellence across a broad range of components within the Beacon program.
Beacon CEO Scott Harris paid tribute to all schools within the program for their dedication to helping students on a positive pathway to further education, training or employment once they leave school.
Keynote speakers at the conference, themed ‘Education to Employment: The Next Generation’ included Coca-Cola Amatil Group Managing Director, Alison Watkins; Dr Suzy Green D.Psyc.(Clin.) Founder of The Positivity Institute, Michael McQueen, Social researcher and bestselling author; Ted Noon, Principal of Ashcroft High School in Sydney.
